Welcome to The Eagle

Hello from The Eagle.

We focus on good food and great drinks! We’re proud of our work with many local suppliers and we try to keep our menu fresh with local and seasonal ingredients, so you may see our menu change from time to time.

We have a large beer garden, are dog friendly, have ample parking, a wide selection of beers, wines, and spirits, and always a warm welcome.

Good Beer Guide 2021

Thank you to those who have voted us to be in the Good Beer Guide 2021. We appreciate the nomination and will continue to work closely with local brewers to bring you more tasty interesting beers. If any CAMRA members would like to score us, se we make it into the guide, we would appreciate it.

Lord Mayors July 6th

It’s the Lord Mayor’s Procession!

Due to it being a very different day we will be unable to take any food bookings. We will be offering a BBQ outside the front of the pub through out the day, as well as a short lunch service for walk ins only.

Please note that Newmarket Road will be closed from 1.45 in the afternoon until 7pm.

Redwell

We are delighted to have local brewer Redwell’s Norwich Pilsner on the bar. Come and try it! It’s Vegan and Gluten Free as well!!

New Beer!

Whilst we are always changing our ales on the bar we are now welcoming a new beer onto the bar. Meantime Pale Ale will be replacing Kozel. Here is what it is all about:

LONDON
PALE ALE.

ALC 4.3% ABV. – HEADY MIX OF CITRUS, SPEARMINT AND HOPSACK AROMAS

One hundred and fifty years ago the new bitter beer style, Pale Ale, was so popular that brewers had to import Californian hops to meet demand. Meantime London Pale Ale continues that tradition by combining lots of American Cascade and Centennial hops to give it a complex citrus aroma and buckets full of local Kentish Goldings to provide the bitterness that makes the style so refreshing. Together they conspire to assail the nose with a complex, heady mix of  spearmint, grass and ‘hop sack’ aromas, fruity citrus flavours and a bitter finish that makes pale ale drinking a truly rewarding experience.

Thank You!

Big thank you from all of us here at The Eagle for the (mostly!) great reviews of the pub. So much so that Trip Advisor has given us a certificate! Whilst it may look in our replies that we may take the reviews with a pinch of salt we enjoy everyone we get good and bad and responding to those reviews only makes for a better pub! Keep them coming!
