We shall be reopening after the Tier 2 announcement. We really can’t wait to see you all again, but please be aware in tier 2:
- you must not socialise with anyone you do not live with or who is not in your support bubble in any indoor setting, whether at home or in a public place (we will be asking people to confirm that this the case)
- you must not socialise in a group of more than 6 people outside, including in a garden or a public space – this is called the ‘rule of 6’ (a substantial meal will still be required to consume alcohol)
- businesses and venues can continue to operate, in a COVID-Secure manner, other than those which remain closed by law, such as nightclubs
- pubs and bars must close, unless operating as restaurants. Hospitality venues can only serve alcohol with substantial meals
We are working on news menus and opening times will also change, please watch this space for up dates!
Finally it is with sadness that we need to state that during the last reopening our staff faced abuse from a minority of members of the general public who did not like the procedures put in place, from verbal abuse, wishing we go out of business, being told that we should be physically shaken and one star reviews for asking non exempt people to wear masks, this is unacceptable behaviour and will not be tolerated.
Please be aware the staff are just following guidelines set out by the government. We all hate that pubs are different we all hate we can not serve and host you as we wish, however this is out of our hands. Please remember behind the masks there is a human being trying their best to do a job which has been made incredibly difficult. Saying that we would like to thank all the lovely people who have wished us well and shown support to us and other local businesses during this time.
